Our Story
2007
Foppiani Shipping & Logistics was born in 2007 from the dream of the two current partners Paolo Cavicchi and Enrico Rossi with the help of five lifelong colleagues and a mentor of great charisma. Leaving the stability of a large company after 30 years of established experience, the idea was to establish their own company to offer a tailor-made transportation and logistics service even to companies medium-sized and small ones. The first offices were established in Prato and Bologna.
2008
In 2008, regular traffic began from Shanghai, which subsequently expands to first-tier cities, both in China and throughout the Far East. Projects and investments mature with the opening of branches in Treviso, Ancona and Milan that help strengthen our presence in the territory.
2010-2011
From 2010 to 2011 projects and investments mature, Foppiani strengthens its its market presence as a key player in shipping from the Far East.
2013-2015
The openings of branches in Treviso, Ancona and Milan contribute to intensify our presence in the territory, while the existing branches in Prato and Bologna consolidate their growth.
2017
2017 saw the establishment of the first Foppiani office in Shanghai, fully dedicated to export development and support, followed by openings in the major cities in China, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, and Japan. Also in 2017, the second warehouse in Bologna Interporto and the export space in the Milan warehouses is duplicated.
2018
In 2018, Foppiani Shipping & Logistics (FSL) established itself as the partner chosen by many companies representing the excellence of Made in Italy, from precision mechanics to contract to fashion.
2019
2019 consolidates FSL's strong presence in China and throughout the Far East, and the company achieves the position of 5th operator in cargo handling between Milan Malpensa and Shanghai Pudong.
2020
In 2020, FSL decided to look westward as well, and with the opening of its headquarters in New York, Foppiani USA was born.
2021-2022
In recent years, FSL has faced major challenges that have enabled it to consolidate its presence in the shipping industry. Even today we maintain the same spirit and the same desire to grow while keeping our values always intact: Foppiani Shipping & Logistics has more than 500 people worldwide, but continues to follow with the same care as in the early days to every single customer.
